The Plot to Have Entry Everywhere
Back in the early 2000’s, the NSA standardized Dual Elliptic Curve Deterministic Random Bit Generator or Dual_EC_DRBG. This relies on the encryption process of Dual Elliptic Curves to pseudo-randomly generate numbers. Dual Elliptic Curves is the process of securely exchanging keys using modular arithmetic.
This was used to encrypt RSA (TLS/SSL)encryptions in the early 2000’s. In 2013, Edward Snowden blew the whistle and confirmed the existence of the NSA’s Bullrun Program. The purpose of the program was “to covertly introduce weaknesses into the encryption standards followed by hardware and software developers around the world…the N.S.A. had inserted a back door into a 2006 standard adopted by N.I.S.T… called the Dual EC DRBG standard” states the New York Times.
If what Snowden claimed is true, this would have been a giant plot by the NSA to have encryption systems build atop their pseudo-random number generator in order to have backdoor access to everything.
Imagine if this was still the standard. Would the NSA have access to our email accounts, iCloud, or our Alexa’s? Have they planted something in the later years to maintain access to…
